The Schlumberger Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship provides excellent training and development opportunities for those looking for an inspiring and challenging career.
Maintenance technicians play a critical role in Schlumberger service operations. Over the 3 year 4 month scheme duration, apprentices will learn the skills and techniques necessary to maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing state-of-the-art technologies.
The initial 16 months is spent at North East Scotland College (NESCOL) where apprentices gain the theoretical knowledge needed for the following 2 years of hands-on practice in a workshop environment.
Successful completion of the programme leads to an NC, an HNC in Engineering, an SVQ Level 3 qualification, and a wealth of opportunities for future development and career progression.
Schlumberger are looking for hard working individuals with a practical and hands on attitude, who would like the opportunity to earn whilst developing knowledge and gaining relevant qualifications. Applicants must reside in the UK and be 16 years of age by the 30th May the year of applying. There is no upper age limit.
In order to apply, applicants must have obtained the following grades or equivalent:
Four National 5 Grades A-C or equivalent in Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry or Engineering Science plus one other subject.
Application may be considered if the applicant does not have Physics, Chemistry or Engineering Science but do have:
Mathematics Higher at Grade C or above, English at National 5 Grade C or above, two other subjects at National 5 Grade C or above.
Both the college phase and on-the-job training of the Schlumberger Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship scheme takes place in Aberdeen, Scotland. There is no travel costs, relocation costs or accommodation provided.
