HLO HERTL Workplace Competence Assessment Standard for NUIs

Aim: The aim of the HLO HERTL Workplace Competence Assessment for NUIs are to formally assess the competence of the learner in the role of an HLO HERTL during helideck operations on a NUI

Objectives: The objective of the assessment is for the learner to demonstrate competence in the practical skills and knowledge required for:

  • HLO HERTL Arrival, Interim and Departure Duties on a NUI
  • HLO HERTL Emergency Response Role on a NUI

Target Audience: The target group for HLO HERTL Workplace Competence Assessment for NUIs is personnel who are required to be assessed against the role requirements during helideck operations on a NUI or Not Permanently Attended Installations (NPAI).

Pre-Requisites: There are no prerequisites for the HLO HERTL Workplace Competence Assessment for NUIs. However, HLO HERTL are expected to have completed helideck operations initial training followed by supervised workplace training prior to being formally assessed.
