Further Onshore Emergency Response

Aim:

The Further Onshore Emergency Training programme will provide delegates with the opportunity to practice and demonstrate emergency response skills which are not possible to practice during drills, exercises and emergency training exercises that are carried out in onshore oil and gas operations.

Objectives:

The objectives of this training are that delegates will be able to:

  1. demonstrate, in a simulated environment, the emergency response actions during an onshore emergency
  2. demonstrate that they can effectively use basic firefighting equipment, and practice self-rescue techniques in low visibility situations e.g. smoke filled areas.
  3. demonstrate that they can perform basic first aid

Target audience:

The Further Onshore Emergency Training programme is designed for personnel in the onshore oil and gas industry that are required to revalidate their OPITO Basic Onshore Emergency Training or Further Onshore Emergency Training.

Delegate pre-requisites:

Delegates are required to hold the OPITO approved Basic Onshore Emergency Training certificate.
