13th March 2015
The weeklong event, which takes place between the 20th -24th of April in Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, will see 125 - 175 GCSE, BTEC Engineering or A Level students take part in a range of interactive activities and form an appreciation for the oil and gas industry and how the organisations fit together.
Alongside our industry and academic partners, including East Norfolk Sixth Form and Great Yarmouth College, we have developed a programme that comprises a range of activities including:
- Two sessions hosted by Acona UK Limited which will include an introduction to well engineering, a presentation by the managing director and an opportunity to speak to and question trainee drilling engineers
- Proserv are hosting two site tours over their three facilities in Great Yarmouth
- Seajacks UK are offering interactive sessions where students will have the opportunity to be a vessel owner and operator and get brief insight into what Seajacks do and how different careers all come together
The following oil and gas organisations have committed to the 2015 programme:

Amec Foster Wheeler
We are looking for further oil and gas organisations to get involved – please get in touch with the Skills team for more information.
