With a continued focus on energy industry safety, OPITO Global 2018 hosted an additional technical forum as an optional subsequent day session. Nearly 200 delegates from OPITO’s global network of approved training companies as well as industry practitioners attended the technical session to delve deeper into the priorities for shaping global standards in a fast-paced workshop format.
The 2018 forum was made up of three sessions hosted by:
Helen Bates, Head of Operational Leadership Development at BP - Helen's session explored the changing landscape of learning and development, and how learning methodology is modernising and transforming to embrace change.
Ewen Hay, Director OPITO - This session focused on how competence assessment will be affected as the industry moves into the third age of energy.
James Hamilton, Director at OPITO - James looked at the OPITO regional footprint, and identified locations across the globe where a selective approach to the adoption of OPITO standards in taking place.
